This is a special announcement --

This fall -- date and location to be announced -- I will be taking a vacation from Johnson to do something that several of my long-term clients and friends have been asking me to do for several years, but I have never done.   Now, they don't specifically mention my age, but I think my latest birthday has intensified the suggestions.

They want me to take a few days to meet with them on a private basis to teach the "how-to" of what I do on EMTALA "mock" surveys or risk management and compliance audits for EMTALA. And beyond just telling them,  they want me to mentor them as they actually start doing the same thing for their health system, organization, or company.

Now, this is obviously not something that the bulk of the EMTALA readers will be interested in, and I am foreseeing only enough people involved to occupy a hotel board room (10-18 participants).  Following the program, I will be committing personal mentoring time to those who attend, and again that mandates a small and select group, as this will have to be on my own time and not on Johnson's time to be fair to my employer.
