A night-shift employee at an Encinitas, CA, nursing home has admitted she took credit cards from elderly residents, reported the Associated Press (AP). The employee pleaded guilty Friday in Vista Superior Court to residential burglary and theft from an elder. She faces up to two years in jail when she’s sentenced in April. Authorities said surveillance tapes at department stores and restaurants showed the nursing home residents’ credit cards being used by the employee. Coworkers identified the defendant as the suspect on the tapes, according to the AP.
