IRS Issues Urgent Ransomware Alert

Remember that the IRS does not use email, text messages or social media to discuss personal tax issues, such as those involving bills or refunds. THINK BEFORE YOU CLICK!

  1. Phishing is now rampant. Be careful before clicking on any link you do no business with. I get a phishing E-mail almost daily using the Apple logo, notified Apple every time, makes no difference. Phishing using banks I do no business with, be careful. Always look at the sender’s address before clicking, many of the E-mails come from foreign countries. Just delete. If in doubt, pick up the phone and call the company. Same for credit cards, phishing using names I have no card with. “THINK BEFORE YOU CLICK” is excellent advice.
