Hospital Security Officer Killed By ED Patient:Aug 11, 2008 A hospital security guard, Monte Ruby,  died from injuries sustained  Saturday when an ED patient in police custody attacked him.
Cedar Rapids Hospital Evacuated:Jun 13, 2008 Sandbagging volunteers, including this site's web-techy Jordan Frew,  worked until 2 AM Friday trying to save Cedar Rapids' Mercy Hospital from flood waters that have engulfed more than 100 city blocks to chest-deep levels, until officials determined that evacuation of the facility was required.
My Comments To The Feds:Jun 10, 2008 Following the law and the interpretation standard provided by the Court, it is clear that no limitations are present or implied on "where" the patient is physically located, "what" the patient's status is on the books of the hospital, or any other condition other than the criteria for transfer found in the law itself.
