EMTALA Field Guide: Kindle Edition — No Charge Download June 19-21 – Update

We have just released the Kindle Edition of our EMTALA Field Guide 4th Edition and to say thank you to you for following us on medlaw.com and Linked In, we are offering this edition on a launch special —  download this Kindle Edition any time June 19-21 with absolutely NO CHARGE and NO GIMMICKS.

If you don’t have a Kindle device?  No problem — search for “free kindle viewer” online and pick up an app that will run on your smart phone, tablet, or even desktop.

The Kindle Edition is identical to the print edition, except it does not have an index due to the Kindle search feature that replaces the index.  So, why a digital version?  First because Kris Giese, my co-author, thought it would be helpful for folks who live on their smart phones and tablets, and second, because it allows me to give a launch bonus to the loyal supporters on my website and LinkedIn without costing an arm and a leg.

The official description is:

Newly updated edition of the “Bible of practical EMTALA Compliance” for healthcare providers, hospitals and their attorneys. These updates highlight legal developments and regulatory changes since the 2008 edition, along with the accumulated enforcement information since the 1986 inception of the law. In addition to a narrative summary of the law and the most recent version of federal site review guidelines for EMTALA compliance, this book features quick “flash card” reviews of individual EMTALA compliance topics, the real world application, necessary compliance documentation, and cautions on common compliance issues.

  1. Reviews for Kindle for Mac are not good. Lots of problems, and since that is how I prefer to read articles or books, I will not be able to download until Amazon gets it’s act together. A real shame, thanks for the” Beau Gest.”

    • I realize that Macs have a cult following of totally loyal users who take pride in being outliers. Unfortunately, Amazon doesn’t market to them. I will continue to look for an alternative delivery system for my Mac-using friends.
