Some of you will leave because of this post … goodbye and may God Bless You.

As Russian troops occupy another Eastern European country, our Secretary of Defense proposes a budget that will slash the military to pre-World War II levels.

I am a student of history and watched it during the Cold War, but you can catch up on everything important with this 8 minute tribute to our troops. Cutting the military and reducing military benefits is profoundly wrong. Failing to support our injured veterans is obscene.

  1. Anyone who disagrees with this should spend one day on the front lines and visit VA Hospitals to see the young men & women of our armed forces who, as the result of combat injuries, have missing limbs and other permanent life altering injuries.

  2. Thank you for posting this video. We forget that men and women dedicate their lives to being of service to our country and are never thankful enough for them.

  3. Thank you so much for the editorial and the video. I was deployed in the initial wave of Iraqi Freedom, and much of my job was evaluating soldiers before and after their deployments. Failing to support our injured soldiers is BEYOND obscene, and nearly all of them are injured in some way from the experience of war. Having been in the field, I know the power of sheer numbers, and to reduce their numbers and their training is to assure disaster for the US as well as the soldiers who remain. Just as other professionals need to constantly learn and update skills, so do the military personnel in all job positions. Thank you for your insight and support – I hope you recruit many more supporters with your Washington contacts and this blog!

  4. Excellent sentiment. Unfortunately wasted on todays youth and entitled masses. Socialism has infiltrated America and only the truth and the blood of heroes will change anything

  5. Thanks for sharing this touching reality. Many Americans are too far removed or sheltered from the true devastation of war. They also don’t realize the absolute necessity to keep our forces strong in order to allow for a safe and free America . We take our soldiers for granted and must support them in all aspects of life and in death. They do make the ultimate sacrifice to defend our country and deserve better.
