The COVID Crises Reveals The Good In People and The Dictator Traits of Some Politicians

While a vast majority of US citizens and businesses are making heroic efforts to help their neighbors and honor the President’s request for social distancing and refraining from unnecessary gatherings of more than 10 people, some petty politicians have decided that the pandemic has presented them the perfect opportunity to become the Little Stalin dictators they have always hoped to be.  It happened in Katrina and the Supreme Court later ruled that the state of emergency did not authorize violations of the Second Amendment.

Attorney General Barr has indicated the DOJ will be investigating these instances of over-reaching.  One home owner’s association is even reported to have threatened eviction for homeowners who work from home during the emergency.  In the following article, The Federalist points out local politicians attempting to take away other Constitutional rights during the emergency.

Hopefully, citizens will sue over these instances of Gestapo-like violations of the Bill of Rights and voters will throw the petty tyrants out of office at the next election.  Former Gov. Huckabee reportedly has announced his intent to file a suit over police threatening to arrest him and other homeowners for using their private beaches on their own property.
