It was 6 weeks ago when I announced that I would have a whitepaper on the conflict between drug policies and EMTALA out in 3 weeks. I also mentioned that being in the risk management field, delays might occur.
Little did I know that Mr. Murphy and his law would be moving into a management role on this project.
First there was my 90 year old mother breaking a rib and moving to a rehab facility, then trying to find a more assisted living facility for her imminent return, and then her unexpected death. That I handled as well as could be expected, and I was ready to release the whitepaper after only 4 weeks (just a week late).
The part that I was totally NOT prepared to deal with would come in the form of our marketing department having their own obstacles, such as something they call a “vacation” — not something I really can relate to. But we are now past that as well.
I can finally announce that the whitepaper is finally available for DOWNLOAD. Thank you for your patience.
